Motivated by a spirit of Christian service and compassion, the founders of Samaritan House Ministries Inc aimed to reach out and help those people in Brandon and its neighboring communities who were in need. Three decades later, staff and volunteers continue to operate with the samespirit.

 

What began as a simple women's shelter has grown into an organization well equipped to help people holistically - physically, intellectually, emotionally, environmentally, and spiritually. 

 

Through our Food Bank and Resource Centre, Safe and Warm Shelter, our programs at the Training Centre and Employment Resource Centre, and our second stage housing for women and children fleeing domestic abuse; literally hundreds of people are assisted every month.

 

We are grateful for the ongoing contributions of many individuals, churches, government and non-government organizations, and for the businesses who support Samaritan House Ministries in its efforts, through donations of food, money and time.

 

Samaritan House Ministries thanks the many people of Brandon and Westman area who help us continue to help others. Our partnerships with you, those who care for this community, are the life of this organization. Though we would love to say the basic need for food and shelter will someday be met, we continue to work with you to provide, long into the future, flexible and meaningful options for the hungry, hurting, and homeless in our community.
